Ginny,

I also took Ultram for a month......but constantly itched and broke out in hives all over my back, neck and face for 2 weeks solid, and I kept calling the doctor that I had (W/C jerk of course).....and never could get him to call me back. I finally started taking Benadryl to try to help with the hives and rash......and finally after 3 1/2 weeks of itching and hives, I walked right into his office, past the Receptionist and directly into his little Room where his desk was, and demanded that he switch me to something else because I was sick and tired of itching from the med, and I was sick and tired of being ignored for almost a month!

He switched me all right........to Darvocet. Gee.....water was stronger! The retarded **shole. I absolutely hated that creep!

But, now I have it in my list of medicine allergies, that I'm allergic to Ultram, because I absolutely don't want to go and itch like that ever again!

Pam and lyn,

I used to take ultram. I took it for fibromyalgia. I was taking 200mg 4x a day..the highest dose they really would give a person. It helped in the beginning for the RSD too...probably made me not notice the symptoms of having it until it got really bad. The only problem I really had from the ultram is I was always itchy everywhere towards the end. It seems with that high a dase for over a yr all of a sudden made me allergic to it. I could deal with the itchiness if I took benadryl non drowsy formula..it really helped. If I didn't take the benadryl..I was itchy and scratching constantly. I know Donna took ultram for awhile for the RSD...and she said it helped alot. I think it all depends on the person whether it helps or not just like any other med. Good luck...Hugs..Ginny
