That is so incredibly awsome!!! I'm SO happy for you!!!!

ellen

She talked to me!

I know you gals/guys will understand. I'm still bawling and I picked her

up

from school over two hours ago.

When I picked her up I asked how her day was. Usually I get no response

and

I have to prompt her ... today she said, " I ate marshmallow egg. "

Then later when I asked if I could have a chip she said " sure mama " which

is

something I've never heard before.

Today was much better than yesterday when I was crying about her eating

sand.

(I didn't mention it since we've all been there before. "

This is just insanely COOL! If Putter ever did such a thing, I think I'd

fall over.

WOW!

Putter, I know from LaShaun, went on a field trip with his autistic

classroom to the local mall and saw the Easter Bunny (who he laughed and

laughed at) and then rode an ostrich on the carousel.

But he told me nothing.

We have a little book about school and her day. It's like a picture schedule

but it's a book. Since she reads if there is a problem or a change I change

the book and read it to her at school and before school. So if she went on a

field trip there would be a picture of her on the field trip with a caption

about what she did. Sometimes I just draw something. I bet her would read

it to you.

Great idea. Hmm, I think I might need some help on this though. The book

describes everything that she does in a normal day but you can put changes

in it?

And you read it to her before (we couldn't do this on swimming day or he

would be uncooperative until he got to swimming) and after.

I am sure he would read it to me.

Any more details greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

This not talking about school seems to be a male thing - my Lars only tells

me either in the bathtub what's going on in school or when he's snuggled up

and about to fall asleep. If I didn't exploit those situations and were

lucky to be able to attend his class every now and then I;d never know

what's going on !! It's frustrating. He'll be aggravated and leashes out at

me because something happened in school and I have no idea . Boys.

I remember 's trip to the zoo. Same thing. If not for pictures his EA

showed me, I'd never have known he went. (well, I signed the permission

slip, but you know what I mean)
