Guest guest
Hi, found them! You have results similar to mine, only my free T4 was also over range. When I had the tests done I was on 4.5 grs plus T3 and felt more hypo than I had at 3.5 grs. I also felt " unwell " . Knowing that I have/had adrenal issues, I kept the hc at 10-15 mgs a day and dropped the Armour to 3.5 grs a day. I also stopped the T3 at night ( till my restlessness came back a few weeks later; then I traded T3 for 1/2 grain Armour ) Anyway, I had it in my mind that I was going to utilize all that T3 that was floating around unused!!!....within a couple weeks of being down on 3.5 grs I found myself having the interest and energy to do lots of physical things like storm windows and raking. I saw. I cared. I did. That is a sign of a person not so hypoT! Of course I overdid it and crashed! LOL But the decrease worked to help balance things. I do take for adrenal support pregnenolone 40 mg, pantothenate 1,500 mg, vit c 2,000 mg and a bunch of other stuff. About a week ago I dropped to 5 mg of hc a day. Today I took only 2.5 mg. I'm really happy to be seeing the ability to be off it. It's a good sign. Last week I went up to 3.25 grs Armour. I do continue to take T3 at night. Deb, I'm wondering if you too may benefit from dropping back for a bit on the Armour and supporting your adrenals more. That would include lots of sleep and proper eating...many meals a day. Going without eating is very stressful on the adrenals....grazing is better. Interesting thing for those who have felt unwell on higher doses of Armour early on....I am on the T3 equivalent of 4.25 grs of Armour; I take 3.25 grs Armour during the day and 10 mcg T3 at night. When I tried the extra Armour grain at night ( same amount of T3 ) I felt groggy and sluggish in the morning. But with 10 mcg of T3 before bed I feel great when I wake up. No sluggishness. Roxanna > Hi Tish, > I saw your reply to saying her high T3 amy be adrenal fatigue or cellular resistance. This kind of struck a note with me as I wonder if this could be my problem. My Doctor wants me to cut back on Armour by 1/2 grain but I haven't been able to do it, my symptoms come back, but I do still have some fatigue, don't sleep well(without help) and I do startle easily. These are my results: > > Thyroxine (T4) Free, Direst, S 1.21 ng/dl 0.61 -1.76 > TSH 0.004 uIU.mL 0.350-5.500 > Thyroxine (T4) 7.4 ug/dL 4.5 -12.0 > Triiodothyronine (T3) 306 ng.dL 85 -205 > Triiodothyronine, Free, Serum 6.3 pg/mL 2.3 4.2 > I am currently takine 2 & 3/4 grains of Armour spaced throughout the day. I really appreciate your insight as I see my Endo tomorrow with my daughter and he's ordering a bunch of tests. What test would I ask for? > Thank you so much for any help you can give me. I feel about 90% better since dx'd, but feel there's something just not quite right yet. > Debbie > -- > ___________________________________________________________ > Sign-up for Ads Free at Mail.com > http://promo.mail.com/adsfreejump.htm
