Perfumed sheep? Makes my nose shrivel.

-- Re: QUESTION OF THE WEEK

this is an easy one for me~ PARIS FRANCE! ~I would spend a whole day at

the Palace at Versailles an go thru every room and walk the grounds and

go once again to Marie Antoinette's village where she had perfumed sheep

to tend~actually now that I think of it, it would take 3 days to do this

and i would go at the drop of a hat~~BTW, what a good idea this was Kari

:)

yep corky, Marie Antoinette had perfume put on her sheep cuz she didn't

like their smell~she really knew how to rough it :) she had a whole

complete village built just for her when she got tired of the crowds

that lived in the Palace, there were 2000 living at the Palace including

anyone that was anyone, servants, cooks, maids in waiting to all the

ladies you name it they lived there, speaking of shriveling your nose,

with 2000 people all liveing there they say the smell from the boudior

'pots' of all those people was overwhelming~that's also why the French

invented perfume I bet...

summer home and it was nice and peaceful there. The palace itself was way

to crowded with tourists to really appreciate all the splendor though. The

gardens were beautiful.

Hi Robin !

I was wondering about Mia and s cities

so I asked What is the scoop on those very interesting names for your

cities?

Mehoopany &

Tunkhannock

Are they Indian names? If so, what do they mean?

And then I asked the list.............

OK Folks.........

Here is an Off Topic Question Of the week:

What is the story behind the name of your City, Town,

Province, State, County, Burrough, etc.........
