Guest guest
Irene, I agree with Becky. I have been on here long enough to see various personalities from different list members. I don't mean this in the way it will sound, but, I have seen several list members be offended by your " way " of sharing, and I think by now that we should know you well enough to know " not " to get offended. I also think we should know you well enough, that you answer posts because you genuinly care. I am impressed at how often you attempt to answer posts and find this admirable. I think you have been misunderstood in these circumstances and, just like others want to be eccepted for who they are, you should also be accepted and embraced for who you are. I have been on another list for several years and after a long time we finally caught on to how helpful it can be to start an e-mail that could be construed as " controversial " with a caption that describes your " tone of voice " . I think this could be really beneficial here as well. Sincerely, Pamela Rauch Answers/Irene Irene wrote: I didn't mean to jump down your throat. I seem to have a way of answering things that make people think that I am jumping on them. I don't know what to do about it as I have been trying to answer in a manner that is not likely to bother. I think that I will just give up. It seems that how ever I answer it is not right. I can do no better than I am now at answering posts. Please understand that I do not mean to hurt anyone's feelings. Take care, Irene ****** Please, go ahead & answer postings. I see no reason for you to stop. EVERYONE *talks* in thier own styles, same as we all write differently. I guess what I am trying to say is people need one another, we need you & you need us. If people differ in their ways of thinking, a different view point just gives us pause to think. I am sure there are things you & I, or anyone here, differ in our ways of thinking about. If I get mad at you for your thinking, I am not leaving myself open to new ideas. It is from new ideas that I learn. And, I need to learn as much as possible, about as many things as I can. It will help to make me a better rounded person. Pamela, thank you very much. I am trying not to be as blunt in answering posting as I have been in the past. I know that there are those that are offended by the way I answer and I am truly sorry as I do not mean to offend. I do hope that all of those that I may have offended in the past to please believe that I did not mean to offend. Take care, Irene Books may well be the only true magic Alice Hoffman. Guest guest
Hi Becky, I don't think people having different opinions is a problem. Sometimes, it's the way some of us answer that can be offensive. Maybe, saying, " I think .... or " Maybe the answer is ...., " instead of writing as if it's a class report where you have to be exact. It helps me at work. Even though I am the boss, I don't want to sound bossy, and it works for me. I have nice, happy legal secretaries working for me, who do their best, not because I demand it, but because I treat them like I would want to be treated.
