" question. Mercury can mess up a person's immune system so that he/she is less able to fight off viruses but viruses can also mess up the immune system so he/she is less able to detox well. Additionally, you have those that believe that people with dys-regulated or inadequate immune function to begin with causes a person to not be able to handle viruses he/she is exposed to or properly detox out metals. I tend to believe the latter. Our kids had some sort of issue with their immune systems and then metals, viruses, bacteria, parrasites, etc etc messed them up further, sending them over the edge. Guest guest Posted November 20, 2004 Report Share Posted November 20, 2004 Hi!! in a speech by Dr. Shaw of Great Plains Labs, he said something in the vaccines is knocking out the body's immunity to candida and that this causes people to have to stay on anti-funguls indefinitely. Probably other things also going on??? Mercury causes a train-wreck of body systems. And Candida alone can wreck the immune. Or were these viruses introduced in vaccines? My son had both problems. He was autistic from HepB vax at birth. Then add all the other vax he had. I did high dose vitamin A protocol with him at the end of chelation. Then he needed about a year of anti-virals. Removing the metals helped with quite a few issues, but he still needed anti-virals after the metals were gone. I can't really answer your " why " question, but I can say that many kids need both chelation and anti-viral. And one of my son's viruses was measles virus.
