Guest guest
Way to put things in perspective Regina. And CONGRATS on your lifetime! I hope to achieve that, someday. & others Hi I am new to this group... I joined about a month ago & have just been lurking & have been inspired by so many posts...Until now. I just made lifetime last week & have loss 55 lbs. Everyone has different amounts of weight to lose & everyone has different problems & struggles. Sometimes people just need their basic problems acknowledge & not take everything so personal. I grew up on welfare & lived in section 8 housing & never could afford to go to school. So going to school for me was a luxury & I thought that only " rich people went to school " I know I was wrong in my thinking & that was my choice but when you are upset & struggling it is hard to look at the whole picture. I now own a mortgage company that sometimes does well & sometimes does not but I am happy with what I do. Each person picks & chooses there luxuries & necessities. The most important thing is to remember to help each other & support each other. I know of 2 people that have had major tragedies this pass year...1 person loss her 6 month old baby last month. Another person had there lungs collapse & had to have an emergency lung transplant...thankfully he got one in time & survived only to have a bad reaction to medication & almost die again...he is now doing quite well & is able to be a Dad to 1 year old twin boys. These events help me to put priorities in order when I am feeling bad but I still like to vent like everyone else & even though my problem may not be the same for someone else it helps when someone acknowledges it. The struggles we have make us who we are. Hang in there things will get better! I wish the best to everyone in there journeys.
