Guest guest
Spoke with the doctor and with her assistant today. She upped the Zyprexa by adding a noon dose also, and told me that with his weight he could go up to 30mg a day, so even with the noon dose we are at 20mg for the day, so if he is agitated and agressive after school or in the evening he can have a mini 2.5mg dose then also. The Desyryl will stay the same at 300mg, and the Dapakote is good for now at 500mg 2x a day. I think we are seeing some benefit from the Depakote starting. His speech is not coming out a million words a minute ALL the time now, but he is still quite symptomatic. The docs office also faxed over his reports and her assessments to the district office today, so I am hoping her opinion will overide that of the school psychologist who declared cured. The kids in his class are noticing and questioning his behavior, and at home it is like we have gone screaming back in time to the days of multiple autistic fits, tantrums and rages over little nothings. Things like ice cream vs. a banana shake, or how big the answer space is on the math page. He is much to large for me to hold off now though and he is not so easy to haul to his room when needed. I would not say today was less intense, but I would say that we had a slightly lower peak of extreme tantrum behavior. I'm going to get my beauty rest now. I need all of it and then more!
