I was dx'ed with lupus last year, September. I also have ulcerative colitis, high blood pressure and have occasional bouts of iritis. I hope this finds you feeling pain free today. I just wanted to say hi neighbor. Carol New Lupie Hello Fellow Lupies!Thank you for the wonderful e-mails of support. I am so new at thisand am not sure what is going on with my body. I was just diagnosedabout 1.5 months ago. I am taking Plaquenil, but am in such pain, andthe brain fog/dizziness/fatigue is almost unbearable. First of all, a little background. I am 40 years old, I have awonderful husband and soon-to-be-15-year-old son (he has to share hisbirthday with his Mom on Mother's Day this year, but is SO excited aboutgetting his learner's permit). We live in Woodstock, Georgia, about 20miles northwest of Atlanta. We have 2 great dogs, Keeshonds, that arelike our children. I work for our county school system, and have afabulous team of co-workers. My only problems with Lupus have been many, many urinary tractinfections, terrible joint and muscle pain, unbearable fatigue, andfogginess. I have not had any tests to determine other problems, but mylast urinalysis showed protein in my urine, along with other things thatI didn't know what they were. Not sure how much I like myrheumatologist yet, he seems to be very nonchalant with me. Thanks for listening! I am feeling better knowing that I have sourcesof information, as well as comraderie out there, since no one I know hasbeen diagnosed with Lupus before, and haven't even told most of myfriends or family yet, since I don't know much about it. I can't wait to hear from you, as I have more questions that I cancount.
