Guest guest
Well, maybe she was trying to be helpful. This sounds like just one of those " you shouldn't do that, you should really only do this " types of posts. I wouldn't give it any attention, or I guess, any MORE attention. She doesn't know you or and she wasn't answering your question. Penny I'm a jerk... Man oh man. I just blasted someone on another list. :-( I NEVER do that...well, almost never. :-/ I had asked a question about medications interactions...this woman came back with this: > You should do all you can to get your poor son off all these > terrible meds with side effects... read the posts regarding > resperadol. you could definately help him more by treating the > cause of his problems with diet and cleaning up his gut as opposed > to just drugging his symptoms which are only indicators of an > underlying problem that needs to be addressed. > Was I wrong to get so angry? Guest guest
>> Ummmm....Raena? Do your family and friends sometimes have trouble > recognizing when you're irate? Because, lady, THAT was the most > polite, organized, non-abusive anger mail I ever read! > LOL...nope. Seems I think most clearly when typing...what falls out of my mouth when I am really mad isn't nearly as " polite, organized, and non-abusive " as what flies off my fingers. When I wrote that, then hit send, I was still so ticked that I honestly couldn't judge whether it was abusive or not...because in my head, I was trying to blow her out of the water. Does that make sense? Now that I am considerably calmer, I think I know why it seemed so much worse to me than it did to you guys. I was absolutely furious when I wrote that...almost shaking...and when *I* read it, I can hear myself saying it--and let me assure you, the tone of my voice and the speed of delivery leaves no doubt about how unhappy I am. ;-) Raena

But this one hit me in the gut, because it was an absolutely EXCRUCIATING decision to put on meds...for her to assume that I would put my " poor son " on those " terrible meds " without having other choices was just too much. We all know better than that. > Yeah...and she made the mistake that every kid represented on that list had the same diagnosis. I don't mind that most folks think has classic autism; I often tell people " he's autistic " because more people understand that, and it isn't always necessary to go into more detail. But when you are talking about treatment, it matters. Ah well. Raena
