Well,

maybe she was trying to be helpful. This sounds like just one of those " you

shouldn't do that, you should really only do this " types of posts.

I wouldn't give it any attention, or I guess, any MORE attention. She

doesn't know you or and she wasn't answering your question.

Penny

I'm a jerk...

Man oh man.

I just blasted someone on another list. :-(

I NEVER do that...well, almost never. :-/

I had asked a question about medications interactions...this woman

came back with this:

> You should do all you can to get your poor son off all these

> terrible meds with side effects... read the posts regarding

> resperadol. you could definately help him more by treating the

> cause of his problems with diet and cleaning up his gut as opposed

Was I wrong to get so angry?

LOL...nope. Seems I think most clearly when typing...what falls out

of my mouth when I am really mad isn't nearly as " polite, organized,

and non-abusive " as what flies off my fingers. When I wrote that,

then hit send, I was still so ticked that I honestly couldn't judge

whether it was abusive or not...because in my head, I was trying to

blow her out of the water. Does that make sense?

Now that I am considerably calmer, I think I know why it seemed so

much worse to me than it did to you guys. I was absolutely furious

when I wrote that...almost shaking...and when *I* read it, I can hear

myself saying it--and let me assure you, the tone of my voice and the

speed of delivery leaves no doubt about how unhappy I am. ;-)

You know, I've heard a lot of that, too...and I usually ignore it.

But this one hit me in the gut, because it was an absolutely

EXCRUCIATING decision to put on meds...for her to assume that

I would put my " poor son " on those " terrible meds " without having

other choices was just too much.

Yeah...and she made the mistake that every kid represented on that

list had the same diagnosis. I don't mind that most folks think

has classic autism; I often tell people " he's autistic "

because more people understand that, and it isn't always necessary to

go into more detail. But when you are talking about treatment, it

matters.

Ah well.

Okay, that makes no sense...what I meant was " if I had any other

choices " ...
