Okay, I know that some of you aren't going to agree with this, but here goes

anyway.

The letter did say that it was the only " good " restaurant in town. While I

agree that our children need to experience, and have the right to experience

everything that other kids do, etc., is it fair to the other diners and our

kids to put them through something that is obviously very difficult if we

don't have to? I think that if there were 3 kids acting this way and the

parents weren't trying " anything " to control them, then they should have

been taken out. Believe me, acts up in restaurants. I KNOW what

it's like No, I don't have 3, but how enjoyable could it have been for the

parents (assuming that the kids were like ours). We DON'T take to

" good " restaurants, and probably won't until he can demonstrate at more

family type ones that he can handle it. Even at the " family " restaurants (a

step or two above Mc's) we leave if he starts yelling real loud. We

can't eat and enjoy it, why should we ruin other people's meals as well?

We just keep on trying, going at slower times, and exposing him, explaining

how he should behave, bringing toys, stuff to do, going to places where we

can walk him around until dinner comes, etc.

Now granted, all this goes out the window when it's Mc's, BK or other

such places where there are other kids, some doing the same thing. :-)

Just my .02. :-)

LOL why not, I'm sure many people have throughout the years. I don't

think she even considered the possibility of disabilities, but I made

sure I wrote a convincing letter you all would be proud of. I just

hope she prints it or one like it.

I guess it would be her daughter print it..

The problem here is we don't have any idea what they ment by " good "

resturant. LOL! I have lived places that you have resturants like your

fast food type things and then you have what I refer to as nice family

resturants that includes Denny's at the bottom of that list and something

like some of the steakhouses at the top.

Now I live in an area where a " good " resturant is one that you have to make

reservations for and you are not going to eat at for under $70 for two

people.

Around here places like Chili's, Longhorn Steakhouse, Olive Garden, ect. are

considered an alternative to McD's or BK (granted, a litte more costly

alternative) and are very accomidating to familys with children.

I guess it all depends on the perspective. If this was one of those towns

where they consider a " good " resturant one of the nicer family resturants

(there was a time that we called those good resturants. LOL! We call the

Chinese Buffett here a good resturant because the food is good and the kids

like it. ;0) and it isn't " fast food " ) then the way people were acting was

way out of line.

I hope I am making sense with this mad babbling

We do not go to restaurants good or otherwise, except for Mc's which

serves the only restaurant food that Putter eats.

I am sure that one day we will need to work on the restaurant experience

with Putter as a part of life, but I shudder to think of it now.

how rude! i know at our local safeway it is policy that they offer you a

courtesy carry out no matter what - they have to offer. i have gone in to buy

a head of garlic and been asked " would you like a hand out with that? " sounds

liek a couple of pathetic lazy-ass employees. btw - same goes here - i would
