Guest guest
Hello Sue, I know you asked for that doctor in Southern Oregon. But I am recommending my doc up here in Eugene. His name is Dr. Doug Austin with the Women's Care Fertility Center through Sacred Heart Hospital's Peace Health organization. He performed three hysteroscopic resections on me last year. Three were necessary due to how many fibroids I had. He is an excellent doctor, great bedside manner, I would highly recommend him. It may take several months before he sees new patients however. So if you need to get into him sooner you might have your current physician refer you promptly. I was referred to him by my gyn last August. They told me Dr. Austin was not accepting new patients until January. So I made an appointment with one of his colleagues. I only saw that doctor once before he referred me directly to Dr. Austin. I then saw him every two weeks from September to December, so I knew he had time for new patients, especially ones like me who had life threatening bleeding. Dr. Austin is my miracle man. He performed an in-office hysteroscopy exam and found all my submucosal fibroids. He said I didn't have adenomyosis like my last gyn suspected. And he removed all my subm. fibroids with the hysteroscopic resection surgeries. I am now living a new life with regular periods, and off the pill. He gave me and my husband the green light for TTC*. This was something we once thought we could never do. So as you can see, I really think it's worth a call. I'm not sure if his practice focuses primarily on women who are preserving their uteruses for future babies, or if he will see those women who are done with TTC but don't want a hysterectomy. It's worth a call. (541)683-1559 Good luck! :)Sonja *TTC= trying to have children
