Of course the amount of toxic metals in mom's body would be a factor. > 2. What are some of the best chelation treatments out there. I have > read alot about ALA but do not have a clue where to start. Warning: chelation is VERY VERY controversial, so there is no agreed upon answer. I am TELLING YOU that I am giving you a " biased " answer (and so will everyone else IMO!) Okay: here is my answer: here is a summary of Andy's recommendations: http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/Andy_dose_sched.html This is the best *effective* method I know of. I do recommend it and think it is generally " good " . I would also recommend that you read the following (at least the beginning part) and consider getting a hair test done: http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/HOW_TO_hair_test.html In SOME cases, a hair test can be important -- e.g. kids with high lead or high copper--- good to know as it can influence how to chelate.... > 3. What kind of results do you usually see when you begin chelation. (I don't know about usually. Many kids will have SMALL improvements with each round. Many will also have a number of problems such as yeast [very common], crankiness, red cheeks, runny noses, sometimes increase of stimming or hyperness or other behavioral/emotional stuff....) > > 4. Why aren't people warned about these fillings and shots if they > can be so devestating to us and our children? because the medical and dental establishment maintain that they are NOT harmful. For amalgams, you can go to the American Dental Association's website and read their statement on this topic. It is not exactly fun reading. It is kinda scary how easy it is to really effectively brush aside mercury toxicity as an issue of any relevance. As for shots, well, there is a seemingly-constant stream of news stories and studies and whatnot which conclude that mercury in shots is okay and is FOR SURE not related to autism/ADD/etc. There are also some " good " sources and responses, but the ratio of " no problem with shots " stories is still the majority by far, I think? In California for the last year or 2 dentists have been required to give patients information about the dental materials they use. My dentist had me read a paper and sign that I had read it (I live in California). There are many organizations trying to promote many kinds of changes to warn people, ban the use of mercury, and so on. > Thank you so much and I am so glad I found you! What kind of results do you usually see when you begin chelation. It was difficult at first, negative behaviors tended to increase. But improved as it went along. > 4. Why aren't people warned about these fillings and shots if they > can be so devestating to us and our children? Because it is politically incorrect. Guest guest
Dear New person, 1) Absolutely. In fact, quite a few of our moms had fillings put in, taken out, or broken down during their pregnancies. 2)There is much controversy over this, but check out the files. Andy's protocol has proved helpful for many people. 3)Results vary. This is a marathon, not a sprint. It's a routine you get used to doing, I guess. Some kids don't excrete mercury for quite a while. A lot of other metals may come out first. Eventually, many people see little things changing in their kids that add up to big things over time. 4)Politics and money! Barb [ ] New here with a few questions.... > Hello everyone! I am so glad I found this board.
