Guest guest Posted October 10, 2006 Report Share Posted October 10, 2006 Hi all, I had some very bad news this week finding out my cancer had spread again and have been very upset off and on since. I flit from being in floods of tears and then perfectly fine, positive and constructive. Is there anyone out there with some comical hospital stories ~ go on, cheer me up please? Here, in return is one slightly unrelated to BC but is bound to make someone smile. My father had appointments at the diabetic clinic and the prostate cancer clinic at the same hospital. My sister always had his appointment card as he was a bit forgetfull (at 91) and it was she that took him, waited and collected and it was she that knew which clinic he was going to but obviously failed to tell him on this occasion. So he went into the clinic consulting room, undressed all his lower half clothes, got on the couch and presented his exposed bottom ready for the doctor only to find a young gorgeous blonde nurse came in who said Oh Syd I only want a blood sample. (For sugar) He claimed afterwards that he knew he had the wrong clinic and said he would be trying 'that one' again!
