Why? Because you are one of the strongest of us and even hysterical can handle more than most men have to handle in their entire lifetime. You are a wonderful mother. You know that each and every one of us has at least one time that our kid has gotton out. Just Christmas day my husband was watching and when I loved for her she was on the front porch snow all around her jumping up and down in front of the door with only a T shirt and a diaper! I'm glad the police found her so quickly so you didn't have alot of time to worry. Hey at least she wasn't naked This will give you an opportunity to write a thank you letter and include some information about autism and Ebony's picture. Guest guest
Thanks Jacquie. I still can't believe I actually spouted off to a cop. But I was so angry and upset. He shut up pretty quick after I went off, but I think he needs to apoligize for his attitude. He knows nothing of my life and assumed everything. I don't remember this officer from before. But if I ever run into him again, believe me. I'll remember him and he will remember me. Tamara > >(((hugs))) > >What was with the cop? Was he new in your area, or what? Guest guest
Thanks Cecilia. It is definetely not a good feeling. Although I should be getting used to it by now. Ebony is a runner and she is darn good at it. Tamara >> >The letter to the police it's a great idea. I can't even imagine what is >like to lost your kid for one second. I would go crazy. Guest guest
Oh, poor poor Tamara. I hate it when people act as if you just aren't doing a good enough job. I know that little Ebony is FAR more work than other children and I wish that other people got it. Didn't they try to talk to her? I mean, really, I should think you could tell that something was up with Ebony if she is a tenth as autistic as I think she is. Sorry, sorry, sorry that you felt so bad. But very glad that she was swiftly found and no harm otherwise done. What great links and suggestions people have posted for runners. Maybe someone less lazy than me should put them up in the files for Ebony is not the only runner. Salli

Guest guest
Hey Salli. Yeah, he knew she was autistic. He still didn't get it. I am apparently a bad parent. Go figure. I have gotten some awsome links. I never realized people other than me had to board up their windows, for instance. Ebony runs into them and breaks them. I thought that was unique to Ebony but its not. And their were some really good ideas in some of the stuff too.
