Guest guest
Several of you wondered where I was from. I'm not very far from most of you. I live in London, Ontario. My gyn is excellent as far as being a baby doctor is concerned (he saved my son's life with a c- section that was very well done) and is very caring and concerned when it comes to infertility, but I did always get the feeling that the curtain came down when I tried to discuss other methods of dealing with fibroids other than his 3 favourites of " wait and see " , birth control or hysterectomies. I knew that myos must have been done somewhere in Canada for 2 or 3 years now because I had read about it in a canadian magazine (I think it was Canadian Living) several years ago and at the time it was supposed to be in studies in Canada, but my gyn would never even consider it. Either he was uninformed or just not comfortable with a new proceedure like that, I don't know. He seemed pretty excited about the option this time when I went to him and he suggested it. He did say though that other than in studies, it was only being done in London for about 4 to 6 months.
