Guest guest
Jillena, I too have polyhydramnios. I have also been diagnosed with gestational diabetes and mine is under control also. I go in 2 times a week for a non stress test and once a week for an ultrasound to check the fluid level. It has gone up and down and the highest it has been was 40. It is now 30. I am 38 weeks. I have a feeling that I am going to last until the end. You said that his concern was risk of going into labor early. I have heard that the biggest concern should be cord prolapse due to so much excess fluid. They told me that as soon as my cervix is open the slightest bit they are going to induce me so they can control my water breaking. They will first put a small pin prick to let the water trickle out and then when the fluid gets to a normal level they will break the bag completely. I don't know if this interests you at all, but I thought I'd share. Good luck with everything. Tammy > Howdy, > > I went to the doc yesterday and we've already got a big boy. Guest guest
Hi Jillena, I was Polyhydromamnios with my last pregnancy. Although I am not Diabetic. My son was born a 39 weeks and 4 days via planned repeat c-section. Everything was fine, only due to the excessive fluid and c-section delivery spent 3 nights in the NICU due to sluggish breathing. He did just great after that! You're baby will be here before you know it! Brisco Update > Howdy, > > I went to the doc yesterday and we've already got a big boy. Guest guest
Thanks Jackie...I feel so rushed all of a sudden but honestly I shouldn't. We just about have everything ready in the nursery. I just need to get that hospital bag packed. Guest guest
Hey Tammy, My doc hasn't mentioned the cord problem. My level is at 28 and I'm at my 34 week mark. I will have just finished my 36th week when he plans on the induction or section. Have you had much swelling? I'm swelling a lot especially in my feet but also in my hand and wrist which is causing pregnancy-induced carpol tunnel...ouch. Hugs, Jillena ============================================================ Date: 2003/11/12 Wed PM 02:24:21 EST To: OSSG-pregnant Subject: Re: Brisco Update ============================================================
