Joanne W. mom to Zoe (3-25-01, right clubfoot) Original Message: Hi my name is and I am from Washington State. When my son was born in 10/02 he was born with clubfoot to both feet. We had casts done 2 days after birth using the non Ponseti method. They left them on too long and we weren't able to do casts again. When he was about 10 months old took him to a different doctor that told us surgery would be neccessary but we would have to wait till he was 12- 15 months old. Well here we are today finally found a doc that would see a child for this in our area. Come to find out she specializes in the Ponseti Method and feels that his feet are still flexible enough to see the results we want. Can anyone tell me anything about the Ponseti Method I have a general idea of what it is but would like some personal insight into it.
