My MIL has filled in her mums for her and already sent it off about 2 weeks

ago. My DH's comment on hearing this was " well I hope she doesn't pop her

clogs before the 29th otherwise you have cocked the census up... " (she is 86

and he does love her really).

My SIL's birthday is the 29th and so she will be older than she wants to be

in this census :-)

It is quite sad looking at all the information to fill in this time about the

children to think that by the time the next one comes out we may only have 1

left at home :-(( but perhaps we will have grandchildren staying instead (now

that is scary)

I think in your case Cerys (was it party plan?) I'd lie.

But you should make a complaint.

's already replied to that query, but honestly, do they think I have

time on a Sunday with all the DK's home, to fill in a form? They must be

joking!

We are actually going to be away as we go for our holiday's on Thursday but

as we are going to Denmark we figured that would count anyway I also seem to

remember there saying something about it being the people who normally

recedes at this address??

The answer probably lies some place

The people delivering the Census try to catch you in twice by calling at

different times of the day. They will post your form in if they can't catch

you in.

Hope yours arrives soon! BTW I thought it was the Census being delivered

the other day and didn't answer the door (because I wasn't dressed), they

left a card .... it was a florist trying to deliver surprise flowers from

Gethyn!! I never did tell him that the surprise was ruined when I had to

arrange for them to be redelivered ;-).

You have to fill it in for people who " usually live at the address "

and there is no box or question to ask if you are not actually there

on the night of 29th April.

There is a visitors box though (names only) so if you were staying say

with friends they would have to add you in there -but it wouldn;t

affect your own form.

Ours is all filled in ready to post ASAP after April 29th.... anyone

know if there is a deadline?

DD2 was born on 30 April last year (at 1.58am). I was at home until

about midnight when I went into hospital so if it had been this year

would I have been on our family's form or hte hospital one?!!

But to mark such a good occasion ie half the night at home (groaning

presumably) and half the night in hospital (groaning more and then

celebrating) surely one should state something like half and half

(first stage and second/third stage and champagne stage?!!) But of

course computers dont have a SOH; however on the Society of

Genealogists site people are moaning like crazy about the formatting

of info and that no place available for place of birth etc because as

a genealogical tool in the future it's going to be a lot less useful

than past ones. And after all, in the future, what else is it good

for, by the time it's released, except for historical purposes?
