The food list in Dr Phil's ULTIMATE WEIGHT LOSS SOLUTION or Solution

companion is identical to the CORE list with one exception. Phil

allows fruit juice so just remove that because WW doesn't allow any

fruit juices on the CORE list.

Also Phil does not have limited foods but WW limits grains and

potatoes to 1 meal a day on the CORE program.

You can get the UWS or UWS companion (a paperback) in any bookstore.

For what it's worth, I feel that you get a lot more for your money

with WW than a plan. You get support from an instant group of

friends who are there for you and a leader who is with you all the

way, you get in contact with leaders and successful WW's - very

inspiring - for instance at the last meeting I attended, there were

2 lifetimes who had lost over 100 lbs and had kept it off for a

while and the clerk weigher had lost 150 lbs and has kept it off for

2 years or more. You also get the 10 tools for living which are an

invaluable help in dealing with emotional eating. To attend

meetings costs less than one lunch out a week and you can attend as

many meetings for your $12 as you wish during the week -that's handy

also. Last week when they were rolling out the new program, I

attended 2 meetings. If you have CIGNA insurance they will pay for

$1 off the meeting price - other insurance companies may do this

also.

I have put up this comparison before - but it bears repeating. For

the price of one weight loss surgery which many people do not

hesitate paying out of pocket, you could attend WW meetings WEEKLY

for 32 years! :)
