Guest guest
Thanks Kori, I love it here too. is excited that the weather is warming up. He is anxious to go to the beach. Since I am a teacher I have the summer off. We spend a lot of time playing in the sand and jumping waves. Last summers fun was cut short when fell at a birthday party and broke is arm. It was amazing how well he handled the whole thing. The doctors were so nice and he basically looked and them and said, " yah yah it's just another cast, what's the big deal " . We liked shocking the cast techs by telling them that they were putting on his 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th cast. Seven on each leg and four on his arm. Yes, my son was the creative one. First we learned that he couldn't play in the dirt with his cars. He was two at the time and loved playing cars in the dirt. I thought no harm in that he wasn't putting into his cast. But at one point when I wasn't looking the game changed to how much dirt can I shove in my cast before mom notices. Apparently, a lot! Then it was, " Look Grandma I found the hose and I made a sprinkler " That's right he found the hose at Grandma's put it in the top of his cast and turned it on. As the water rushed out the hand end of the cast he sprayed Grandma like he was a sprinkler. Oh, that was fun. Yes, my son is active and curious. When asked why, he told us that he just wanted to see what would happen. We spent the rest of his time in a cast in the house. Kids are the best! Guest guest
lol, that's really funny about the cast and the dirt! Yes, kids will be kids. I have to remind myself about that a lot because it seems my boys are always doing things to make me crazy and then people at the store say *kids will be kids* and I have to take a step back and remember that they're not meaning to make me nuts lol. I have a friend who lives in Scripps Ranch. Their house was spared too. But not very many of their neighbors were spared. Another friend's work (which is her parent's business) is on a street where about everything burned. Her office was spared but her uncle's house which is very close wasn't. Such a horrible thing last summer, I was so worried about my friends in Scripps Ranch. I called once and got the voice mail and was sure they had been hit. I hope this year nothing happens, such devastation to a beautiful area. Not good. I'll have to look you up when I get down there again. Was planning this summer but finances may not allow it. I was going to drive with the kids and our old camper trailer but with gas the way it is, it may not happen. Oh well, Darbi is still young and maybe next year would be better to hit Disneyland. We can't fly because it'd be 4 tickets with the 5 of us. Ouch! And what do you mean warming up? It's warm there all the time lol! I still can't believe y'all have any reason to turn the heat on hehe! When it gets to 60 here we're all out in shorts showing our fish belly white skins glorifying in the warm. Guest guest
Kori, You'll have to look us up if you make it to Sunny San Diego. I do have to admit that I can't remember the last time I turned don the heat. The air I do use. We have already had a few 105 degree days. Talk about hot. That is unusual for us to have to many of those. We are off to Disneyland next weekend. I won the tickets in a raffle. The kids are excited to go. Enjoy Tonya (unknown) > > > > > > I am the grandmother of a beautiful 3 month old grandson. He was born > > with bcf.
