Guest guest
Hi all -- Had a doctor's appt today and she had me get an event monitor to wear for 30 days. I've had a couple of episodes of an arrythmia (sp?) type thing with really bad pain (around an 8 for a few seconds). Then for about 10 to 15 minutes after the pain stops my heart feels really " shaky " - so they want to try and catch it to see what is going on. Anyway, it's the dreaded leads stuck to my skin!!!. I think there have been some posts on adhesive allegeries - but can't remember what some of the recommendations were. The person at our hospital said to change the leads every two days and rotate where I put the adhesive pads around a small circle to lessen the reaction. Well, the monitor's been on for about half a day - and it's starting to itch already (not really bad yet, but getting there). Any suggestions??? Thanks a bunch!!!!
