Guest guest Posted March 10, 2004 Report Share Posted March 10, 2004 When I went into the ER .. I didnt even get an arm band until I was getting ready to go home. They had already pulled the Hep Lock out and this lady comes in with my arm band and the " consent to treat " papers for me to sign. I was like .. I dont need that .. I am going home.. so she said .. well, take it for a souvenier .. lol .. like I need another hospital arm band. When I came in and told the nurse at triage I was having chest pains and they could hear me wheezing across the desk .. they put me at the top of the list. Then Cheryl .. an ER nurse I have seen several times .. came in and she said .. oh no .. you're here again? So she took me straight back to do an EKG before doing anything else. smiles.. when the EKG said I wasnt having a heart attack, but was having a severe asthma attack, I was put on a breathing treatment and stuck back out in the lobby until they had a room for me .. lol .. so I did most of my treatment from a portable tank in the lobby. lovely .. lol .
