Guest guest Posted October 3, 2005 Report Share Posted October 3, 2005 Does anyone know whether it is common for someone who has AF to have days when things are fine ...and others when at times the heart has quite a bit of 'irritation' ..or something... where there is extra beats or what seems like mini episodes of afib like beats ...for a couple of seconds to several seconds ... several times in a small amount of time (an hour or so). I keep getting worried every time this happens that I am going to go into afib again.... a vey scary or uneasy feeling ...I will admit to. Anyone else have similar situations. Yes, yes yes yes and yes! I never know why, either. I don't do anything differently. Today was a bad day. I just felt lousy and the heart felt irritated, and I got some indigestion, and I had a panic attack, which I calmed down fairly quickly (10 minutes?) with a talk on the phone to a friend to distract me and 2 mg of valium. Yes, I appreciate the worry about returning to afib, I wonder about that a lot (I just passed my two-month mark after cardioversion) and when I feel creeped out like that I bring out my mantra... " I've been here before, at least 1000 times...I will be here again...it is anxiety and nothing more...deep breaths and calm thoughts, and talking to a friend always helps. " Good luck .
