Guest guest
I had quite a bit of the batter left from making the funnel cakes, grandsons won't be back before it goes bad in refrig so since I do not like those tall thick hamb buns I greased the cast iron grill and dropped amount same as a small pancake, browned them on both sides. They kind of reminded me of pita pockets only they weren't pockets. Fried a hamb patty and ate it between two of them, better than any of breads I have tried, did not break apart, stayed together for the entire hamb, stored some in refrig to how they hold up for a couple of days and the biggest amount in freezer to also check to see if they freeze and then not break up when thawed. To me at least it tasted like the usual hamb I used to eat, far closer than the buns I have bought so if they freeze well, I have not only found funnel cakes for the boys but have found me a bun I like to once again enjoy a hamb once in a while. OF course if they don't freeze well, I will make the dogs happy, they eat anything that is people food. Coleen
