Hi ,

So we are pretty much in the same boat as far as having 2nd child

without a thyroid and not yet having clean scan! Sounds like you are

doing good if your Tg is holding stable. What is your TG? How about

your TSH? Have you needed to make any adjustments on your medication

dosage?

I found a lump when my 1st son was 4 months old and had it

surgically biopsied when he was 6mos. old. Found out it was

papillary carcinoma w/ mets to neck lymph nodes. Had my TT w/ R neck

dissection 7/00 and 150 RAI 8/00. Then had 100mci RAI 3/01 b/c

eventhough the scan looked " clean " my Tg was in the 200's. L neck

dissec. was done 7/01. Again had another surgery 11/01 b/c it seemed

they left behind 2cm nodule in anterior L neck. (New surgeon and new

endo) 2/02 had 250 mci dosimetry dose RAI. Tg was about 125

unsuppressed. Pet scan 3/03 showed some uptake still in L neck and

faint small spot in mediastinum. So it has been very slow going for

me. It is so stubborn! I believe it is so b/c my 1st endo did not

tell me to do the LID for the 1st two RAI and now I'm probably

iodine resistant.

Yes, I had my 1st US at 6 wks. My OB thought I was having twins!!!

Imagine that. Well, US showed only one baby. Have you noticed that

you are bigger the 2nd time around?

Take care,

Sandy
