I was on about 400mg per day but the pain clinic switched me over to a low dose percocet which unfortunately I think needs to be increased as well. The Ultram is a non narcotic pain reliever which some have good results with and others dont really. I didnt have many side effects but did find that being weaned off of it wasnt fun because I couldnt take anything else until I was totally off of it. Hope that answers you question.
