Barbara,

Wow! sounds like everything is a mess.....

Don't worry about posting......just post whenever you feel like it, ok? We all understand what it's like when trying to get the meds straightened out and everything. Heck, half the time, even with my meds straightened out, I dunno where I'm at or what I'm doing! lmao. But, I blame that on being around the kids all day!!! hehehehe.

I hope that the girl comes out of the coma real soon and that her family is doing ok. Times like that is hard on the family, especially if someone in the family thinks that they should pull the plug and just let her go, while the rest of the family wants to keep her on life support no matter what. That really makes things tough. I don't know if that's whats going on in the family, but, just from what I've heard in most families, thats usually what happens. (I've been around a few hospitals where thats happened)

Sorry to hear about your friend that died. At least they are in a better place without any pain or worries anymore. that's always a good thing to think about. And, its a real good thing that your other friend is out of the hospital. Now she/he can start healing better since they are at home where it is quiet instead of having a nurse disturb them constantly.

Hang in there Barbara.....we're all here for you no matter what!

Im sure we can all say that we totally understand. Im so sorry to

hear that so many things are going on in your life right now and that

it feels like you are being torned from all sides. You are strong

though and in time things will hopefully start to look up. Take care

of yourself as best as you can during this time and know you are in

our thoughts.

Hugs

Barbara...I am so sorry that you and others in your life are dealing with so much pain ..emotional and physical... right now. It's hard enough around the Holidays...and with so much going on it just makes it so much harder around this time of year. I hope the infection clears up quickly and they can get you to a comfortable pain level...and know you and everyone else are in my thoughts and prayers..Hugs..GinnyBARBARA TORREY wrote:

Everyone - I've been reading but posting less. Don't want anyone to think I don't care because I do and I have been reading all of the posts. After being at the clinic three days in a row, they removed my catheter today because of infection. Unfortunately, my meds still aren't up to where they want them to be dose-wise because of the nausea moving on to the next extreme. If we can't get this sorted out soon they will switch me to self-administered injections. I'm concerned that the loss of the catheter will make things even more complicated given that we can't get the meds sorted out.

The primary reason I've not been posting is that I feel pretty crappy all the way around. I've lost a lot of weight, including 10 pounds in just the past 12 days and a total of 25 since mid-October, and yesterday they did some labs. Today they call and it turns out that the results were a mess. I've become quite dehydrated so we;re now addressing that too. Feeling pretty shaky and weak and still waiting for GP (who was off today) to get the labs that were faxed so they can decide what to do.

Other things going on too. My closest friend has been hospitalized twice in the past two weeks with hemmorhaging but is now home. Another friend died last week (diagnosed with leukemia on Monday and died of an aneurysm on Thanksgiving morning. And now more...a client of mine was in a car accident and, along with many fractures and lacerated liver and spleen, has been in coma ever since due to global brain injury. They've revived her twice and her poor family is a mess. A friend brought me to the hosp yesterday so I could just sit with the family for a time to offer some support. Just very sad and extremely fatigued. I feel like I've been slammed from all sides and am struggling both physically and emotionally. So I'm just going to lay low. Hope that you all understand. Barbara
