Guest guest
I agree Beth. Cooking is the key for me. If I'm not doing it, then chances are I'm heading for a cheat. RIght now I am eating egg salad that I made over the weekend, instead of walking in the house starving with nothing to eat. It's not really cooking per se but it helps. a -- Re: Jane I'm doing well. Thanks for asking. I cooked my lunches for this week yesterday. Porterhouse steaks were on sale so I bought a bunch. I cooked them in olive oil, oregano, fresh garlic and fresh basil. Mmmmmmmmmmm. I also cooked up 2 heads of cauliflower in the same pan after I drained the fat. I added soy sauce, chili garlic sauce and a small amount of cream cheese. Plus, I made some hard boiled eggs. I also have some bacon, salad and strawberries that I will also bring throughout the week. Dh made an awesome beef roast last night. He stuffed it garlic and slow cooked it on the grill. It was so tender and delicious. I made a sauce for it with blue cheese and sour cream. He also made a spaghetti squash on the grill. We just eat it with butter. I made a cheese cake for dessert but was too full to have any! It's so hard for me to feel deprived when I'm eating like a queen! Did anyone catch Suzanne Somers on the Home Shopping Network this weekend? I love to watch her cook. She makes the most beautiful food. I think cooking really is the key to this woe. The more I cook, the more interesting the food I eat, the more satisfied and less deprived I feel. Guest guest
Thanks for asking. Astonishingly high stress right now. DH is in training. We've seen him for about 24 hours since the middle of October. But he's been home for 2 days and we spent two nights up at the lake. (No running water or heat but still wonderful and like a mini-vacation.) He leaves again on Wednesday. I've been struggling with stress-eating. It's not successful in reducing the stress. Actually makes it worse. But, astonishingly, I'm still taking supplements. DH has been very successful with lowcarbing. He's watched me for 2 years now. Some up and downing. But I'm down 15 pounds in the past year. He started in January. And --- da da da dat da da --- (AKA trumpet fanfare.. .. ) He is down 41 pounds since the beginning of the year!!! I'm thrilled for him. And feeling sad about myself and the fact that I've had all of this time and haven't stuck to the WOL well enuf to be able to be proud of myself. So how am I doing? Stressed. But holding in there. And thanks again for asking. Guest guest
Right on, Jane. I have a 50 foot hose coming off my concentrator.......Our house is constructed in such a way that I can go virtually anywhere in the house......which is good.
