Guest guest
Hello everyone, I would like to know what your experience is with stress and your BG levels. I have been bringing my BG levels down for some months with Metformin, Actos, and the Bernstein diet. However, after I learned about an additional medical problem yesterday, my bg went way up and even this morning my bg was higher than it's been in a long time -- 157. I've heard that stress affects bg. Do you find this to be the case?
Guest guest
, physical and emotional stress can have a profound effect on bgs. Usually short term stress will raise them; however, there are times when long term stress will lower them. I would recommend stress management techniques to help lower bgs. Exercises such as meditation, affirmative messages to yourself and laughing may help. There are lots of books available, I like the Dr. Bernie Siegel books.
