Guest guest
Hoping my optimum Armour dosage when I get there, will help me get rid of scads of symptoms too. Also lack of self-discipline. I'd like, one day, to WANT to exercise again & not have it be so painful, (specially hatha yoga) as I used to. Re: any connection between hypo and nerve damage? Hi Kat. Though I can't answer your question specifically, I can state that I have seen folks get relief from ALL sorts of medical issues when they found their optimal dose of Armour. It never ceases to amaze me.

Guest guest
lovin your answer. hopin for the same! > I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome while very hypo. My left hand would just literally fall asleep all the time, and I made an appt with an Neuro. They tested my left wrist, and he told me I had 'severe damage' that needed to be fixed asap. Then I was referred to a surgeon. The surgeon told me they did not like to do 'surgery to correct' carpal tunnel, but they could give me shots in the wrist? Not in this lifetime unless I'm feeling like I'm dying was my response. lol. > > I then changed Endo's who recognized how grossly mismanaged I was. He then starting changing the medication amts which made a ton of difference. Suddenly, the carpal tunnel is gone? No surgery, no shots, no nothing? Makes ya wonder just how much some of these so called 'specialists' know eh? As long as my meds are right for me, no carpal tunnel. I found that utterly amazing. As well as having back pain that was so bad, that I thought I had something terribly wrong with me. An MRI and a consult with a surgeon who came highly recommended was done, and he told me to get 'more exercise' and eat less. lol. I found out not long after that about the thyroid issues. I've been hypoT, then moved to hyperT/Graves, and am now hypoT again. My back pain and carpal tunnel are the two main things that go awry when I'm hypo. Those are the two that immediately get my attention. Will a dr tell you that? No way. But for me, it's right on the money. > > SandyE~Houston > any connection between hypo and nerve damage? > > > > I have a cronic pinched nerve and neuropothy in my elbows, one of > which I have been opperated on to move the nerve from between the > bones in my elbow. Guest guest
Thanks, Sandy, for this information. I had my 2nd EMG test at the new Endo's last week (horrible test) and he told me I have severe carpal tunnel in both hands. A rheumatologist last year gave me cortisone shots which helped for about a month. He said it was due to my polyneuropathy, so surgery would not help. The carpal tunnel bothers me much less than my legs and especially my feet. I'm on 4 grains of Armour. The carpal tunnel is less bothersome but not gone. How long were you on your optimal dose before the symptoms cleared completely? .....joan >>>I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome while very hypo.
