Guest guest
One of my favorite holiday movies is "The Story Lady." Tandy stars as an old woman who goes to visit her daughter & family in New York City & quickly is made to feel irrelevant & useless. One day she is channel surfing & stops on a public access cable channel. Without telling her family, she takes a big illustrated children's book, goes down & reads a story. Before long, kids all over town are hurrying home from school to catch the Story Lady! Her daughter is a corporate bigshot & gets her a syndication deal. The rest you'll have to watch for yourself! I also love "Santa & Pete" which stars Earl & Hume Cronym. It's a whimsical tale of Saint and how he morphed into Santa Claus, acquiring the reindeer, red suit, etc. And if you've never seen "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever," it's a sweet story of a town's annual Christmas pageant which has become kind of mechanical in nature, until a family of ragamuffins enter in. The public library should have all these, or you can get them from Amazon.
