motrin and advil are the same thing.

Motrin's actions are similar to those of aspirin. This is why you

shouldn't take it while you are pregnant. Increases chances of

bleeding, and we don't want that before delivery (this has been

explained as primary reason for no advil).

we arent supposed to take motrin after WLS b/c our new tiny tummies

are more susceptible to ulcers and bleeding from motrin (it can be

very hard on normal sized tummies, so it stands to reason that we

shouldn't take it).

The medication you took should have no effect on the baby at all.

that all being said.... I take motrin 400mg about 2-3 times a day

right now and haven't had any bad side effects.
