My larger sized clothes look oddly disproportionate I can see what you are saying exactly, If I wear denim shorts that were baggy on me prior to the pregnancy , they are really tight across the lower abdomen so Ican't wear those but I have still been able to wear my stretch denim jeans, capris and shorts that I got from the Avenue, they have a good stretch in the denim that is still holding it all together

Guest guest
I was only able to hold out until the end of my 4th month. I really dreaded wearing maternity clothes, and now I can't figure out why. I love them!!! They are so cute and comfy. I have been shopping at the " Motherhood Maternity " store and they are resonably priced with lots of selection. You can also find them on line at www.motherhood.com . It was a hard adjustment for me to accect the fact that it was all right if my clothes made me " look pregnant " . Have fun with it. Guest guest
Dear Haley, Shame on me, but I never purchases maternity clothing throughout my pregnancy. This is what I did. I used my skirts that I wore while I lost weight after WLS. At one point after WLS I bought five skirts that were all a 2XL. They were long and straight cut with an elastic waist. I wore all shirts over them rather than tucked in. I found that these skirts worked well for me. In fact, I am wearing one right now, and I will be 40 weeks tomorrow. I also used a lot of my shirts that I wore while losing weight. The only shirts that I did buy were mens tee shirts in different colors. I never really liked the maternitiy clothes. I even have the mens tee shirts that are sort of tight and a sweater/stretchy material. So they give that new look of being tight on the belly and showing off the baby! Good luck, Shoshannah K

I am due close to Haley's date (because 37 weeks is considered full term for twins) and I am already measuring at about 16-17 weeks (I'm actually 11). I can still wear my regular clothes. Granted I used to wear them with a girdle " to smooth those fleshy post-op lumps and bumps, " but I want to think I'm not showing much yet. I also have a wierd metabolism, I lost 65 lbs when I was pregnant with my daughter pre-op and when I delivered I weight three lbs more than my prepregnancy weight. I have now stalled at a 8lb weight gain and am eating CONSTANTLY! I'm anxious to see your responses! ;-) EDD 01/09/04 TWINS!
