Guest guest
> Hi Cliff, > glad to hear that you are going to go forward with the SCS. Hi Jai! Thank you for the kind words, the encouragement means a lot to me! I had a long talk with the doc yesterday, pros and cons, expectations and all that stuff. I know that 100% relief from SCS is unattainable from all known theoretical and practical standpoints of those in the industry. That's okay though...we're shooting for a 70 - 80% result. That's the industry's measure of a successful implantation. Jerry has the same device that I'm going to receive. He's been doing lots of interviews and has been plugging Medronics ever since he got his device. He claims that he's getting 100% relief...if he is, then that's cool! I'm a musician so I often work standing up and moving around for most of an evening. Right now, I can't stand for more than about 10 minutes without a great deal of pain. I usually bring a stool to sit on and vary my movements on stage so that no one notices that I have a disability. I'm also doubled up on vicodin right before I start the gig so I manage to get through a 3 or 4 hour show without getting too beat up. I'm hoping the scs will give me more freedom to move and not have to try to hide the situation! You and yours take care, you hear? Peace, love and pain relief!!! Hi Cliff, that is so cool that you are a musician. I think that after the surgery when you are healed from the procedure it will be much more comfortable for you moving around on stage. Where do you play? Can I buy your CD's on line? LOL!!!! My SCS is a Medtronics too and I am very happy with it. Also the rep for the company is great. He has been my rep almost 4 years now and really knows and CARES about my case and my progress. Keep us up to date as to what is going on. I've got to go, I am going to look for you on MTV and VH1 LOL!! Take care, Love Jai
