Was also told to put flea collars in the vacum cleans which I never heard of, but sounds like a real good idea. My cat is also indoors, but I think she got them, because the neighbors brought them into the house!!!

Hi Dawn,

I am sorry to hear about Holly. She must have been so uncomfortable. When I had pets that went outside I used a flea medicine that is a liquid that you put right on the back of the neck of the animal. It absorbs into their skin and keeps the fleas away for one month. I was very pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. They never even had one flea on them. It is safer than powders, collars and creams that go all over them because by placing it on the back of the neck makes it impossible for them to get it in their mouth. I cant think of the name of it but I am sure your vet would know what it is. Maybe someone on the list knows. That is a great idea about putting the flea collar in the vacuum cleaner!

Take care, Love Jai
