Guest guest
First of all to chip. my heart goes out to ya mate. Take care.... Second to nulla. it is well known that passive inhalation of substances can cause health problems. A woman in Australia had just won a case against an asbestos company. she washed her mans cloths for years,(cacked in asbestos fibre). she died just before she won her case. its the same here for smoking. It is hard to break the habit when they increase the number of cigarettes in a pack. would be easier to break the habit if you could say buy a pack of ten. Anyways this is off topic. sorry. cheers, Mitch smoking : Dear Chip, : : I am sorry about your father, but your post about passive smoking : being harmful to others is false. Guest guest
Research can take one point and prove both sides of an issue. All you need is to prove statistical signifigance. It doesn't take rocket science to see that smoking kills people bottom line. And real life shows that people who live with a smoker do indeed die of lung cancer or other lung related illnesses when they have never smoked a cigarette in their lives. People who live with a smoker have asthma, bronchitis, are more prone to pneumonia. That is far more conclusive than any research article you will ever read. i don't judge anyone for smoking, or anything they do for that matter. Believe me, I am not perfect. I am the first person to admit that. I couldn't stop drinking caffeine to save my life. And I hope if it threatened my life someone would be so brutally honest as to tell me so and care enough to tell me. Believe me I know it must be hard. I work with nurses who see people gasp for their last breaths and still smoke. And believe me I do lecture them and remind them that this will be their eventual demise. But only because I CARE!!!! The problem with smoking is that there is such a delayed consequence. But if people only knew how it literally destroys the last years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes of your life so horrifically maybe it would be easier to quit. There are so many other things you could be doing with your loved ones. I will keep all the smokers in my prayers to have the stength to quit. Healthy Blessings, My hope is not to insult anyone or hurt anyones feelings but to share what I have seen and know in hopes that it will give someone the motivation to perhaps quit. ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
