Hejsa Aase...

I think its a great idea to do something your not supposed to.... I " often " do

things just to defy the EDS if You know what I mean. Even though I regret it

sometimes because of all the pain that comes with it, (I am not talking about

getting the tattoo..because that doesn't hurt.)

But just to go to the playground with Mathias is really hard, so when I want to

defy my EDS, I go dancing and drinking with a couple of friends. Then for almost

a week I will be sitting not being able to hardly move, but it is worth it I

think.... I only remember how much fun I had and not how much pain I was in

after, because that wouldn't be funny a all. The last time I did this was in

June 2003.

You are so funny and helpfull, sometimes when I read Your postings it sounds

like You're a nurse, You know so many things.

I tried posting some photos on the groups site but I don't know if they got

there.

Hei Tanja,

Supert å se deg her!!!! Kjempekoselig!!!!

Tee-hee... Just a tiny bit Norwegian for a Great

Dane, he-he (no pun intended, Tanja!!!) How cool,

I am not good at playing with the English

language at all, but this one was too obvious

even for me... :)

It is so great to see you here, Tanja!!! You'll

soon learn to love these guys, they are just

great!!! Poor you, came here at a time where I

make such a mess with my crazy suggestions of

what to do while in Buffalo, he-he... :) I am

sure we'll have a great day going off to the pet

supermarket to buy stuff for my cutie Yorkie

Peanut, Sue's three cute Poodles and other EDSers

pooches too... After that it is off to the Tattoo

artist for a while of what us EDSers aren't

supposed to do, he-he... :) Actually I started

the whole thing by suggesting that Sue's friend

the Tattoo artist, maybe could straighten a

tattoo I got in Denmark before Christmas. Either

the Tattoo artist was a bit too drunk, or my EDS

tissues made the edges of the tattoo a bit

wobbly... He-he...

Great with a fellow Scandinavian here on the CEDA

list (even if Canada " adopted " you:)

Talk to you later!!!!

Aase Marit :)

Heisan Tanja,

I could not agree more. It is completely OK to sometimes just decide

to pay the price. As long as it is within limits where it just

doesn't lead you downhill. But we all learn our limits, at least when

we have got the diagnosis and really know what we are dealing with...

It is sure an informed decision then... :) It is so great with places

like this where we all can meet and learn from eachother, because I

really believe that knowledge is power. It is empowering, makes us

able to take control over our lives in a totally different way

without it (and maybe also without a diagnosis)... When I got here in

1997, I knew nothing about EDS. Sure has learned a thing or two since

then, thanks so many of these wonderful people here... :)

I think we all have our ways of doing such things. Just deciding to

forget a bit about EDS for a little while... It's a long time since I

could do the dancing thing though, he-he... And I haven't learned

wheelchair dancing yet... I got tricked into dancing with a very

handsome and young swedish PT in Turkey last year though. He used to

have a girlfriend who was a wheelchair user, so he just had to teach

me a trick or two. I think it will be at least a decade to the next

time though!!! :) To really have fun with it, you need good

shoulders, I think... I sure paid a little price for that fun too,

he-he...

Did you post the photos on the CEDA website? I think there is a

problem with the site right now. It will probably be OK again soon

though.

I have big plans about being a good girl and getting to bed at a

decent time today... It is soon 11 p.m. here... I am not good at

that, I can be so tired all day, but when it is 10 p.m., I start to

wake up... And then I am a wreck in the morning again... How silly...

God natt og droem soett,

Aase Marit :)
