I don't post often, but am learning and absorbing all the info! I wanted

to say that my daughter who is 29 was on the Adkins diet and it messed her

hormones up totally. Break through bleeding, etc--we figured all the hormones

in the beef? Who knows? She didn't need to loose weight anyway--or so her

old mom thought!

I think she had lost her job due to company downsizing and was just trying

to control some part of her life. Now she has a new job, is buying a home and

going back to school part time in the spring for her Master's Degree, so

she's back on track.

A couple of things. One if you read the book Dr Atkins tells you not

to eat a ton of beef. Two buy beef that is not fed hormones. Three

this right here is an example of our goverment allowing something that

is NOT good for us in our food system. I'd love to push to have the

hormones removed from the cattle. I love beef, it is good for

you...but the crap we are given is NOT the best.
