Oh man, that's what scares me... I 'm afriad that they are going to hit

something they are not supposed to hit!

I am really afraid of an epidural, too... I'm " signed up " for one only if

necessary and if I feel I MUST have one... but... it's the next to last

resort for me!! shudder....

Being a L&D nurse, I agree with you that many things swell. Swelling

by itself is rarely a major problem, but added to 1)proteinuria 2)

headache/ visual changes and/or 3)high blood pressure it is

generally a sign of PREECLAMPSIA (which is what she had asked if I

thought she had). If one's OB Dr is concerned, he will order a PIH

panel of lab tests that help confirm along with the symptoms if it

is indeed preeclampsia.

,

no swelling that I notice... lots less urinating though, so I may be

swelling and don't realize it. I stopped wearing my rings when they begin

to fall off while I was losing weight and haven't gotten them resized yet,

so I can't really tell...

I don't know about advil, but I will ask. I sure don't want to take

codine, even though it doesn't cross the placental barrier. It makes me

feel too groggy and depresses me.

Thanks for the advice and I will ask if I can try it! :~) With this

cho-thingy, I don't know what I can take and not take... I have to find

out what this thing is again and look it up...

Hugs

Sharon
