Actually, the usual amount of time is 6 weeks off T4. Some of us (I'm one,

and you may be, too) go hypo extremely quickly, in which case, 2 weeks is long

enough, but most people require longer (and many

hospitals require longer for scheduling).

Many doctors prescribe Cytomel for the first 3 or 4 weeks, and then, for the 2

weeks before the scan, we are off all meds and on the LID.
