Guest guest
Hey everyone, had her 2 millicuries on Monday and today is her body scan. Thursday is her treatment. I decided to go on the LID diet with when she did and as it turns out it sounds like I might be somewhat hypo, after I described how I began feeling a couple of days ago. It hit us last night that this could be the case. I guess it makes sense since I haven't been taking in any iodine. What are your thoughts? What's the quickest way to get some iodine in my system? Thanks, C.

Lobster dipped in soy sauce or butter with a shrimp in puff pastry appetizer, baked potato with skin, brussels sprouts and broccoli sprinkled with kelp flakes, cheesecake with milk chocolate topping, and a big scoop of ice cream on the side. and for lunch, pizza. TeeHee. The LID's nemesis. There is iodine in nearly all multi-vitamins, but the above menu is much more fun! Joanne

Cheesecake and ice cream work. And, I think the potato is ok. However, soy products and cruciferous vegetables aren't on the avoid list because of their iodine content but because they interfere with iodine absorption. In 's case, she probably wants the high iodine foods without the ones that interfere with absorption. Yum yum, made me go get some ice cream. :-) Betty bettyy at earthlink dot net
