Guest guest
Iwas on cytoxan for a little over 2 years. Yes it is a strong chemo drug, used a lot for breast cancer. You MUST look up the long term side effects and decide if this treatment is right for you. My experience with it was nausea and severe constipation. There was only one time that I was so nausiated that they had to give me extra IV meds. At my pre appointment for the first tratment they gave me a prescription for compazine to help with the nausea. The day of and the day after the treatment were spent on the sofa with flu like symptoms. My hair thinned but I did not go bald, cleaned the tub drain alot. LOL I can't remember the exact dose but I think I was getting 1500mg or 2000mg and I know it was every 2 weeks. This drug can be very very hard on your kidneys and bladder so they constantly push you to drink gallons of water. Sometimes I can't recall everything I would like to say. Hope this has helped you some and if you have any questions feel free to ask, like I told Rose, who knows I just might remember the answer!
