Hi - My daughter is 17 1/2 months and started treatment with CT at 16 months, which was a continuation of treatment because she had a Hanger band from 9-12 months. We go to the CT in Paramus and I am very happy with them. They are professional and so friendly. They also are extremely experienced and we have already seen more correction, which is great given my daughter's age. Why don't you at least go for a consultation. I know 3 hours is pretty long, but it is worth it if you are still unhappy with the head shape. Many others on this site have driven 5-7 hours or have even taken airplanes to get to their destinations. If your son has a scheduled nap time, maybe you can schedule appts so that at least one end of the drive is during nap time and he will be sleeping in the car. For instance, if your son usually naps from 11am - 1pm, then schedule your appt for 2pm and leave your house at 11am. How old is your son? , NY jltrapani <jltrapani@...> wrote: HelloHas anyone used any facilities in the Philadelphia/New Jersey area that they were happy with? I found Cranial Tech. in Paramus, and I know that CHOP and DUPont provide helmets as well. I was looking for any feedback on Cranial Tech. in Paramus, as well as any other places in the area that people have had good luck with.My son has outgrown his

helmet and the place we go to believes that this is all the correction that we can get. He still has a bump in the back of his head and I really would like a second opinion. Cranial Tech. is almost a three hour drive and although I am willing to make the trip, if there is a closer place that anyone has been successful with I would consider it. Thank you,Jocelyn

Wow , our stories sound very alike. My son is 16 months

(today) and he wore another helmet from 11-15 months. For some

reason they told me to only have him wear it at night from 13-15

months, don't ask..... I don't know why, but thank you for your

support and ideas. I am going to go for the consult. Glad to hear

that you were happy with them.

Hi - I would definitely say to go with CT, due to your son's age. They have the most experience with banding older babies. Our stories are similar. Glad that I could offer some help. Good luck and keep us posted. , NYjltrapani <jltrapani@...> wrote: Wow , our stories sound very alike. My son is 16 months (today) and he wore another helmet from 11-15 months. For some reason they

What were the measurements of your daughter when you began with CT

and have they changed? Also, how long did the think she would be in

the helmet?

Thank you!

Jocelyn,

I agree with ...due to your son's age and what to me sounds

like bad advice (ie. wearing the band for 2 months only at night

which means a lot of growth was missed), I would definitely

recommend going to CT even though there is a 3 hour drive each way.

,

Thanks. The drive is the least on my concerns, I just wanted to hear

of other people's experiences at CT prior to trusing someone with my

son's head and once again getting " bad advice " ...ugh!! , as well as

other places that may be near me.

Thank you and I will keep everyone posted.

When she began, CT told me that her assymetry was 15mm. I really don't think she looked that severe, so I was suprised. (You can see pics in the M folder under madison). I am not sure what her measurements are now. I will ask on Monday at our appt, but the overall appearance of her head is better. They did not give me an amount of time that she would be in the helmet because they said at this age correction is very case specific. They have some older children who get amazing correction in a short time and some with only a minimal amount. , NYjltrapani <jltrapani@...> wrote: What were the measurements of your daughter when you began with CT and have they changed?
