Guest guest
Hi Katy, I have been told the same thing many times -- RSS is a genetic mutation at conception and not hereditary. Guest guest
I think if someone has RSS to begin with, they can pass it on, can't they? I think that may have happened with one of the families on this list... Guest guest
I was told that RSS is genetic, but it can be passed down from the mother. That would also make it hereditary. But there are very, very few cases where there are a parent and child with RSS. Hmmmm....I guess this would be a good convention question for Dr. H. Guest guest
At our very first visit with Dr.H - she told us that a gene passed from my father (which had mutated) was probably the reason and are both RSS. Also, they will probably have children with RSS. This was a statement made by her last year. Don't know if it still holds true with her today. Both have been tested for #7 chromosome mutation and it was negative. Guest guest
Ken, Does that mean that our children will not pass down or have a child with RSS? Guest guest
Hi Cara, I don't know. I don't think so but you will have to ask a geneticist that. I haven't be able to get a definte answer from any doctor. So I don't think they know either. Ken M > > > > > > > > Hello > > > > > > > > My name is and I have a little girl named Laikyn.
