Guest guest
, that is an awesome flyer. Can I use it? I will definitely be at the movie theater on friday with lots of flyers to pass out. Kerbob, sorry. I must have misunderstood it. There was a petition going to get the movie stopped. I forwarded the petition to a bunch of people and was told that is was already stopped. Is anyone actually going to go see the movie? Five years ago it was only diagnosed in 1:500 people. This is an epidemic. Some statistics show that autism is present in 1:69 families If it hasn't happened already, soon someone you know will have this diagnosis Autism is now the #1 developmental disorder Autism is a treatable biological disorder Testing for heavy metals, viral issues, and chromosomal disorders can lead to effective treatment Many children are losing their diagnoses (see ; ; RecoveredKids ) Symptoms of autism include delayed speech and social skills and stereotypical behaviors, but these symptoms may be mild, moderate or severe. Some autistic children are very bright. Some are very affectionate. Early diagnosis is crucial for positive treatment outcome. If you know a child with the above symptoms, have them screened by a developmental pediatrician. April is Autism Awareness Month. If we don't do something soon, we will lose an entire generation of children. Think of the impact this will have on society. Guest guest
Of course you can use it!!! In fact, if anyone wants to send me info for the " Resources " section, I'd appreciate it. I'm out of touch with what groups are pro-biological intervention. I tried not to get too political re: vaccines, etc...But thought maybe a SECOND flier talking more specifically about research would help those who are searching for that kind of info... THANKS! , mom to and Re: [ ] " The United States of Leland " It is my understanding that the film was to be made public a year or so ago, but protesters got it stopped. I may be wrong though. Guest guest
That makes me sick. There is absolutely nothing beautiful about such a movie. What would be " beautiful " would be an admission by pharmaceitical companies and government agencies about the mercury issues - that would be truely BEAUTIFUL, because then we could move on and concentrate on treatment. Jane scap_64 <scap_64@...> wrote: > Re: [ ] " The United States of Leland " Today was the first I've heard of it. They intend to release it > this Friday. It really needs to be stopped. The rumors about this movie plans had circulated a while ago. Yesterday, on E! TV channel, the starring actor called it (the movie) " a beautiful thing " during the announcement. :-((( =======================================================
Guest guest
Another idea we just did today was call your local paper and talk to the movie reviewer. Our paper's movie critic knows several families like us and he said that he will screen the movie will our position in mind. He also said that the movie was suppose to open up here where we are April 2nd, but it's now pushed back to the 16th. He said that usually that's a black flag that something's going on. [ ] Autism Awareness Re: " The United States of Leland " I bought some color paper and had the flier printed on the paper...Im going to hang it up at grocery stores and go to the local walmart and put them on cars...I was thinking about at the hospital ...putting them on the cars there..But I dont want some security guard going behind me taking them off...Any other suggestions??? I also bought poster board to make signs...im going to staple them to telephone poles around town > Has anyone heard about a new movie entitled " The United States of > Leland " . Guest guest
Consider it done - I didn't even think about that. Thanks, Debi.
