Guest guest
Kats, you go, girl!!! You can do this!! Take care and check in when you can..............Meleese in Oz xxx -------Original Message------- From: kats3boys Just to let you know I will be missing in action.. the only thing I really have not done to help myself is to quit smoking..as of Monday I am quiting. Now I know when I quit a few months ago I only lasted a week but if you excuse the saying I was a B$#@ from Hell. I know I am hyper and tend to snap at things..but I think anyways I do my best to bite my tongue, I can not honestly say quiting and doing the same is possible..I do enjoy coming here and I have learned so much from all of you..but due to my allergies I am going cold turkey , really no other choice and I do not want to get banned from here for having a freak out on someone because they spelled something wrong or did not put ranges with labs or double posted or?? I work Fri, Sat, Sun and then Monday is the quit day so I may check in on the week end if time permits but then I will be gone for a few weeks. I am not unsubscribing but I will not be around for a while. Hope everyone understands. Kats3boys

Guest guest
Good luck! I stopped smoking in April 2005 when my levels began to near normal. I had many unsuccessful attempts in the past. I haven't had a cigarette since though I still sometimes use an inhalator (I think it's the dummy effect!). Take all the help you can get. I used patches and an inhalator. I used patches for 5 months and continued with the inhalator for about another 3. I read research the other day that suggests that some people need nicotine replacement therapy for up to two years because of changes to the nicotine receptors in the brain. --- kats3boys wrote: > Just to let you know I will be missing in action.. > the only thing I > really have not done to help myself is to quit > smoking..as of Monday I > am quiting. > Now I know when I quit a few months ago I only > lasted a week but if > you excuse the saying I was a B$#@ from Hell. > I know I am hyper and tend to snap at things..but I > think anyways I do > my best to bite my tongue, I can not honestly say > quiting and doing > the same is possible..I do enjoy coming here and I > have learned so > much from all of you..but due to my allergies I am > going cold turkey , > really no other choice and I do not want to get > banned from here for > having a freak out on someone because they spelled > something wrong or > did not put ranges with labs or double posted or?? > I work Fri, Sat, Sun and then Monday is the quit day > so I may check in > on the week end if time permits but then I will be > gone for a few > weeks. Guest guest
Hi Kats, Best wishes on your quitting smoking – hang in there! It’s good too, that you realize the extra stress it puts on you and that you are taking “preventive” action –I am the SAME WAY! I quit smoking in April of 2000 and I used the Patch and it worked very well for me — I ended up using the weakest strength and only 1/2 and 1/4 of it as for me, it was not so much the nicotine that got to me, but the “habit” of lighting up when the phone rang, getting in the car, etc.. So if you do need a boost, you may want to try it — Again, BEST WISHES!!!!! You can do it! Sue Just to let you know I will be missing in action.. the only thing I really have not done to help myself is to quit smoking..as of Monday I am quiting. Guest guest
Hi Kats, I did it about 8 years or so ago and it really does have a positive effect once you get past the first few days. You can do it, and there are aids out there that you can get to help you over the hump. If taking something helps you get to the place of not smoking then take it, I had pills for the first little while and it made all the differance. Will be praying for you Dawn > > Just to let you know I will be missing in action.. the only thing I > really have not done to help myself is to quit smoking..as of Monday I > am quiting. > Now I know when I quit a few months ago I only lasted a week but if > you excuse the saying I was a B$#@ from Hell. > I know I am hyper and tend to snap at things..but I think anyways I do > my best to bite my tongue, I can not honestly say quiting and doing > the same is possible..I do enjoy coming here and I have learned so > much from all of you..but due to my allergies I am going cold turkey , > really no other choice and I do not want to get banned from here for > having a freak out on someone because they spelled something wrong or > did not put ranges with labs or double posted or?? > I work Fri, Sat, Sun and then Monday is the quit day so I may check in > on the week end if time permits but then I will be gone for a few > weeks.
