Guest guest
Hello everyone, I'm waiting for 4 pt. cortisol saliva tests to come back, meanwhile I'm confused about some of the info in AI and elsewhere. My symptoms include racing heart, heart palpitations, dizziness, lightheadedness, brain fog, shortness of breath, aches in chest and a feeling of too much adreniline in my chest, sometimes tingling in my hands that starts just before my hart starts too race, also chronic diarrhea. It's like I am wired and tired at the same time. All tests for heart have been normal of course. I am hypothyroid as well. I was on T4 therapy alone for a few years but since reading this is not a good idea I have since stopped it(when these horrible adrenal? syptoms started in March). I just recently started back on dessicated thyroid intil salive tests come back. If there is too much adreniline, does that mean my adrenals are working or are insufficient? and does insufficiency mean low cortisol or high. How does cortisol levels pertain to too much adreniline? Do certain adrenal supplements contain adreniline(from medula of adrenals) and should I be avoiding those? I also suffer from moderate fatigue as well, depending on different times of the day. Any feedback would be much appreciated, as i am at my wit's end. Want to chelate but can't until I get my endocrine system supported properly. thanks to all, and to those who've responded in the past. Frances. Guest guest
Be patient, many of your questions will be answered when your saliva tests come back. As your practitioner will probably tell you, there are thought to be several stages in adrenal fatigue. In the first stage your cortisol is high because your adrenals are overstimulated. In the second stage your adrenals are becoming exhausted, and cortisol is falling. In the third stage your adrenals are still overstimulated but cortisol is low because your adrenals are exhausted and simply can't keep up. I assume you took saliva samples at different times of the day. The test will tell you if your adrenals are exhausted, and at what stage. You will need to find out what is stressing your adrenals and eliminate it. The time of day at which you have high or low cortisol will suggest what the stressor(s) might be -- infection, parasites, allergies, emotions, etc. To sum up, your probable course of action from here is -- assuming your adrenals are stressed and at some stage of exhaustion -- identifying the stressor(s), eliminating them, and rebuilding your adrenals. That involves lots of rest and perhaps supplements such as pregnenolone and DHEA. But I'd say that you will soon have much more information to go by (when your test comes back), so until then try to relax. Guest guest
adrenals can have too much adrenaline or too much cortisol or just an imbalance of both. Your hair test may have given information on which is which. Are you thin, wirey build, or hyper? These are usually high adrenaline. Those with cortisol issues tend to have too much abdominal fat, thick middles and thighs. The symptoms you describe can be both adrenal and thyroid, as well as mercury toxicity. So hard to pinpoint exactly which one is doing what. The saliva test will tell which adrenal hormones are messed up and thus a supplement can be done from there. once you are on that you may find that some symtoms improve. since supporting the thyroid alone would make the adrenals worse too. Too much adrenaline means insufficient, so does too much cortisol. All adrenal fatigue or insufficiency means is that they are not functioning properly. Low cortisol would contribute to too much adrenaline, and low adrenaline would contribute to too much cortisol. And for the record, I am chelating and my endocrine system is in no way perfectly supported. I am using adrenal cortex extract for my adrenals, progesterone cream, and a thyroid support product but really need to be on Armour. -- In frequent-dose-chelation , " Frances " wrote: > > Hello everyone, > > I'm waiting for 4 pt. cortisol saliva tests to come back, meanwhile > I'm confused about some of the info in AI and elsewhere. Guest guest
----- Original Message ----- From: Jan ****Thanks, Jan for this explanation. I've heard this 100 times but the way you explained it, I got it this time. adrenals can have too much adrenaline or too much cortisol or just an imbalance of both. Your hair test may have given information on which is which. Are you thin, wirey build, or hyper?
Guest guest
: I hope I can help a little since I am going through the adrenal/thyroid odessy myself at this time. When you get your test results back, there is a adrenal/thyroid forum on www.stopthethyroidmadness.com that can interpret your test results for you. If you go onto the forum before you get the results back you can see how folks are doing this. This has helped me a great deal. One thing you have to be extremely careful of is that you first support the adrenals and take the thyroid side slow. If the adrenals are not supported first, adding thyroid meds will make you worse. On the website there is such great info on this. I suggest reading the info on the website and also going to www.drrind.com and reading his info on this topic as well. He has tools on there that are extremely helpful. A mistake I made was getting on hydrocortisone (for adrenal support) and upping my thyroid meds too quickly. This actually caused me to feel worse. If I would have just followed the instructions on Dr. Rind's site about when to add thyroid, I would have seen that because I was in stage 5 of adrenal fatigue, I needed to go real slow. Thankfully, the forum moderator for adrenals on www.stopthethyroidmadness.com was able to point this out. I reduced the thyroid meds and am feeling so much better. I hope this helps... la > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Jan > > ****Thanks, Jan for this explanation.
