Hi, ine,

Glad to hear from you. Wow, you're a courageous one to go through

the ordeal again, but I'm sure you wouldn't even begin to consider

such an operation if you didn't really need it. Sounds like the

minimally invasive approach is gaining popularity. I'll be very

interested to track your recovery with you. Maybe you should keep a

diary for comparison purposes. Where will you have the surgery?

It appears that like me, you lead a busy life that involves

children. I think that part of the pie complicates recovery because

there's just so much they need, and when they're young, like mine,

they just don't understand how much rest (and peace) their mama

needs.

My biggest challenge has been trying to navigate the many levels of

stairs in this old n house. I want so much to stay on just

one level, but it's not possible. Planning ahead helps. But

overall, I've been resting and sticking close to home. Want more

than anything to go to the movies. I'd also love to get back to the

hospital for hydrotherapy, but riding in taxis makes things worse,

and I can see the benefit for the time being.

I'll do anything to see some hint of relief in the joint area, and

get a good night's sleep. Hope you're having a nice weekend. Keep

in touch.

Best, Lari

ine,

By the way, I'm not at all sure the deep, hip pain HAS gone away.

Still cannot see the forest through the trees.

Hi, ine,

I can't remember where it is you said you lived (or did you say at

all?). The UK? I know that another woman I've been communicating

with, Eleanor, lives near London. Do you as well, or are you

traveling here for the surgery in April?

I'm sure my children can relate to how your son feels. My four-year-

old son is very sensitive and constantly asks me which hip hurts,

and kisses it! The other side of the coin is that kids can be

incredibly GOOD for recovery! Even so, I'm happy to see them back

at school on Monday. I'm sure they'll be pleased to get back on

track, too.

The video idea is a good one!

All my best,

Lari
